MEETING OF STUDENTS OF OPDIET DEPARTMENT WITH MANAGING DIRECTOR-CHIEF ENGINEER OF NK KTZh JSC S.K. TOLEBAYEV

On March 17, 2022, a meeting was held with the Deputy Secretary General of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Central Asia Mukhaev Yerbol Orazғaliyevichom. According to the implementation of the memorandum of mutual cooperation between the L.N. Gumilev University and CILT Central Asia, an action plan has been drawn up for the spring semester of the 2021-2022 school year.

The Dean of the Transport and Energy Faculty Suleimenov Tynys Bulekbavevich made a welcoming speech, who noted the importance of such meetings, as well as the cooperation of JSC NK KTZh with the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev.

Deputy Secretary General of CILT Central Asia Mukhayev E.O. in his presentation introduced students and undergraduates to the Next Generation community of young specialists. The main goal in the early stages of career providing opportunities for the development of personal competence of members of the community from Central Asia

Together with him the Managing Director - Chief Engineer of JSC NK KTZh visited the department.

Together with him, the Managing Director - Chief Engineer of JSC NK KTZh Tolebaev Serik Kazbekovich visited the department. The meeting was held in audience 433 in the format of a guest lecture on the topic: "Container transit through Kazakhstan." Serik Kazbekovich first spoke a little about himself and about the activities of KTZ EXPRESS. The lecture was attended by students of 1-3 courses on educational programs 6V11301- "OPDiET" and 6V11302- "Logistics by Industry," as well as the faculty of the department.

The purpose of this meeting was to explain to trainees container transportation through Kazakhstan and in the future opening new routes. The slides show the potential of transporting goods of railways and roads.

The lecture course is provided within the framework of the Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the University and CILT Central Asia

Students were very interested in development of system container transportation by road in Kazakhstan.

Over the past 15 years, about $35 billion has been invested in the development of the transport industry of Kazakhstan.

"Despite the pandemic, the total transit volume for 2020 amounted to 22.7 million tons, which is 17% more than in 2019. Container transit amounted to 876 thousand. DFE (twenty-foot equivalent), 32% growth. And in 2025, we will ensure the passage of 2 million transit containers, "he said.

He added that all over the world they are actively developing container cargo transportation by rail, and Kazakhstan is no exception. "We are faced with the task of transporting up to 22 million tons of cargo in containers until 2025. To achieve this goal, more than 117 thousand 20-foot containers will be required. At the initial stage, it is planned to container the market up to 10 million tons of cargo. We plan to establish the production of containers for bulk cargo (open-top) and for rolled steel. Interest is shown by Fosco and other domestic companies, "he said.

The meeting was so exciting and interesting that the students did not want to let the guest go.
