Meeting with graduates of ЕP "OPDiET"

The main goal is to provide graduates with detailed information about the development of a state grant after receiving a diploma.

The meeting was held on March 1, 2021, in On-Line mode, on the Microsoft Teams platform with the participation of fourth-year graduates and curators.

The Law "On Education" in 2016 was amended regarding the development of university graduates who studied on state educational grants. According to the changes adopted by Parliament, grantees had to work in their specialty in state organizations for at least three years.

Accordingly, this norm applies to all students who have entered universities at the expense of a state order, starting from the 2017-2018 academic year.

"Regarding the development of a grant: if a student entered a university on a grant in 2017 and completes his studies in the 2020-2021 academic year, then he must work according to the previously adopted Law. So there is nothing new in this norm, "explained the head of the department M.I. Arpabekov.

At the beginning of 2021, the requirements for developing a grant were simplified. Now graduates after graduation can work out the required period in their specialty not only in state organizations, as previously required, but also in private ones.

In addition, the terms of work were revised in favor of those who did not study on the grant for all 4 years, but only for a certain time. For example, a student entered a university at a paid department and after some time for good academic performance received a state educational grant or, on the contrary, was transferred from a grant to a paid department.

"Students who graduated from a state grant had to work for all three years, while exclusively in state organizations. Since 2021, a more flexible approach has been taken. Now graduates can work a period corresponding to the number of years of free training in any organizations, i.e. regardless of their form of ownership, "said M.I. Arpabekov.
