International scientific seminar "New trends in translation science: methods, approaches, concepts"

On March 3, 2021, an international scientific seminar was held on the basis of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of the Eurasian National University, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Gumilev YEN. The seminar was attended by the undergraduates of the second year of OP 7M11302- "Logistics by Industries." This event was organized with the assistance of the Department of Translation Theory and Practice of Kazan Federal University (Kazan, Russia) and was held online on the Zoom platform.

The purpose of the scientific seminar is to unite all those who deal with scientific issues of applied linguistics and translation. The scientific seminar was aimed at students of higher and postgraduate education programs, researchers, young scientists engaged in current and promising areas and main trends in translation science.

The scientific seminar discussed topical issues of modern translation, including innovative models and strategies for the training of translators in the 21st century, scientific approaches in teaching translation disciplines, translations of Tatar literature (prose) into related languages, translation activities of Khakass writers, problems and solutions for teaching translation of foreign undergraduates in multilingualism, translation training in remote education.

In conclusion, the dean of the department of the Higher School of Foreign Languages ​ ​ and Translation, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor of Kazan Federal University Sabirova Diana Rustamovna, who thanked all the participants of the event, spoke.
