In pursuance of the instructions of the Chairman of the Board-Rector of NJSC “Eurasian National University named after N.I. L.N. Gumilyov" Sydykov E.B., in agreement with the Ministry of Energy and at the invitation of the station administration, on February 9, 2023, a delegation consisting of :
- Kokaev Umirzhan Sheralievich, Dean of the Transport and Energy Faculty (TEF);
- Sakipov Kamalkhan Erkeshevich, head of the department "Heat power engineering" (TE);
- Zhakishev Bauyrzhan Aitmukashevich, Head of the Department of Power Engineering (EE).
During negotiations with the Chairman of the Board of EGRES-2 Medeuov Zhandos Karlovich and the administration of the station, issues of mutually beneficial cooperation were discussed to improve the training of qualified personnel, organize the practice of students, undergraduates of doctoral students of the TEF and open a branch of the departments of fuel and energy efficiency on the basis of EGRES-2, as well as holding joint scientific research and implementation of their results in production.
It was noted that EGRES-2 has a training and production center with a hostel in the village of Solnechny, where the station employees receive training and advanced training.
In addition, students of the Energy College and the Industrial-Technical Institute of Ekibastuz have internships under direct tripartite contracts, and individually for orphans and children from disadvantaged children, dual training is organized at the station, where training at the college and institute is combined with practice at the workplace with payment.
“The submitted drafts of the Memorandum of Cooperation, the agreement on organizing the practice of students, undergraduates of the TEF and the agreement on opening a branch of the departments of heat and power engineering on the basis of EGRES-2, were preliminary accepted and after making changes and additions will be considered for signing,” said Chairman Medeuov Zh. TO.
He instructed the Deputy Chairman of the Board of EGRES-2 for production Sharypov Arystanbek Sergeevich to organize an excursion and acquaint us with the operation of the main equipment and the prospects for the development of the station.
(For information, three employees of EGRES-2 successfully completed training in the magistracy of the department of technical engineering of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in 2018, and one of them - Sharypov A.S. graduated with honors and remained to work at the station).
During the tour, we visited the boiler-turbine shop (BTC), two units with a capacity of 500 MW each, and the block control room of the BTC, where the machinist and shift supervisor acquainted us with the performance of the turbines and boiler units of the units, electric generators, medium-speed mills, feed pumps, etc. station equipment.
