INTERNSHIP OF ENU UNDERGRADUATES IN THE CZECH TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

In the Czech Technical University (Prague) undergraduates of the Department of Standardization and Certification of the Transport and Energy Faculty underwent a scientific internship.

The Czech Technical University (hereinafter CTU) in Prague is considered one of the most prestigious Czech universities providing higher technical education.

 

The university was founded in 1707. Today, CTU is on the list of the best universities in the world (QS World University Rankings). In the world rating of technical universities, CTU occupies the 156th place.

For today on eight faculties of university it is trained more than 24 500 students. The training is conducted according to 115 programs in 419 specialties. A number of specialties are taught in English.

Students of CTU actively participate in international exchange programs. Each graduate of the Master's program spent at least 1 semester abroad.

CTU produces specialists in demand on the labor market with a good knowledge of foreign languages. The university closely cooperates with many companies, including Toyota, Skanska, Bosch, Siemens, Honeywell, GE, Rockwell, ABB Group, McKinsey, DaimlerChrysler, Skoda Auto, Ericsson, Vodafone. Obtaining a technical specialty in the Czech Republic is a guarantee of good employment.

 

 

 

According to the plan of the internship, an acquaintance with the Czech Technical University, its departments and administrative staff took place. I met with the deputy dean for education and training, Dr. Jiri Charski. He spoke in detail about the international cooperation of the Czech Technical University, international programs currently operating, the work of the University to attract foreign students. Also, Jiri Charski noted that our universities are long-time friends and have all the prerequisites for even closer cooperation in the area of student exchange, undergraduates and doctoral students, incl. in the field of scientific internships.

 

 

Undergraduates studied materials in the provision of educational services at the university.

The educational process is carried out by highly qualified teachers, many of whom have academic degrees of doctors and candidates of sciences. The level of training graduates of the Czech Technical University is highly appreciated both in the Czech Republic and abroad.

At this university undergraduates listened to the course of lectures corresponding to the direction "Standardization and certification. Objectives and principles, normative acts and documentation on standardization." The professors of CTU conducted consultations on the themes of master's theses. The study was conducted in English, so the undergraduates had the opportunity to improve English. Many classes were held in the form of seminar-discussions. Teachers are always open to communication, to the services of students - equipped laboratories, computer classes and media libraries.

Undergraduates worked in the university library to collect materials on the topic of the master's thesis.

 

 

 

 

Research internship took place in accordance with the individual study plan. This internship also provided additional experience and contacts with scientific colleagues from the Czech Technical University. As a result of the internship, the undergraduates received certificates.
