On November 13, 2018, at the «Transport, transport equipment and technologies» department the Republican State Enterprise«National Institute of Intellectual Property» (NIIP) held a round table in a thematic discussion form on the patenting of inventions and utility models.
Participants of the round table meeting: AltynayBatyrbekova - Head of the Department of inventions, utility models and selective achievements, SaltanatUmbetova-chief expert of the patent examination Office in thephysics and mechanical engineeringfield and GulbarshinKazieva - chief expert of the patent examination Office in the chemistry, biology and medicine field at the RSE«NIIP». The Institute examines applications for the grant of a patent for an invention, utility model, industrial design, selection achievement, applications for state registration of a trademark, service mark, appellation of origin of goods and the provision of an exclusive right to it, as well as applications for the provision of an exclusive right to earlier registered appellation of origin of goods and their results prepares expert opinions.
The presentation was made by AltynayBatyrbekova, Head of the Department of inventions, utility models and selective achievements.
In the report, AltynayBatyrbekovna explained how to correctly apply for a patent and the documents attached to it, as well as pointed out frequent mistakes in the processing of documents and filing applications.
GulbarshinKaziyeva, chief expert of the patent examinationOffice in the chemistry, biology and medicinefield, spoke about the exclusive right to an invention and the terms of its validity.

After the report, questions on the problems of applying for a patent were raised and its practical significance was discussed.
