On the day of the Decade of Science at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU at the Department of "Electric Power Engineering" on 08.04.2023, under the chairmanship of the head of the department B. A. Zhakishev, an online scientific seminar was held with the participation of energy specialists from Kazakhstan and Russia, students and undergraduates of the department. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Saken Koishybaevich Sheryazov (South Ural State Agrarian University, Troitsk, Russia) made a report on the topic "Scientific and practical foundations of the development of the electric power industry in Kazakhstan"
In his speech, the speaker briefly spoke about the stages of development of the electric power industry of Kazakhstan over the past 80 years, the problems of energy that arose after gaining independence and gaining sovereignty in the 1990s. He outlined in detail his vision for the development of energy in the near future: the reform of the entire energy sector, the production of electricity from organic fuels and solar and wind energy, as well as training issues.
The workshop was also attended by the head of Astana Electrotechnical Plant LLP Syzdykov Askar Sainovich.
The head of the Department of "Electric Power Engineering" B.A. Zhakishev took part in an active discussion of the problems raised in the report.
